Chetwode, Inside St Nicholas's Church

Of course the church may never have been very big but the size and detail of the chancel suggest that it should have been much bigger. Richly shafted internally (and externally? a north window of the “nave” and the north stepped triplet certainly are) with some early glass of the 1840s in the five close-set stepped lancets. Older still the glass in the south sanctuary's stepped triple lancets. The north transept is like a family pew.
