All Saints Church, Hillesden
All Saints is a marvel, one of the last great Perpendicular churches, stripped of much unnecessary embellishments, and the windows returning to plain uncusped lights. The tower alone seems older. Adjoining the north chancel chapel is a two storeyed vestry, the upper parts originally a family pew. The stair turret to this part is given an amazing crown. There is also an odd sundial-cum-monument in the south aisle buttress. The north porch has a near flat fan vault, a signal for the flat roofs inside which are very disappointing.
