Many memorials are gathered in the north chapel, including this very stylised cartouche which I liked a lot to Thomas Isham d.1676. Above are slits through the ashlar walls from the pew above.

The Inscription reads:

Sacred / to the Memory of / Thomas ISHAM /
Late of the Middle Temple / London [...] only Sonne of /
Thomas ISHAM of Pichley in the / County of Northampton [...] by /
Elizabeth his wife Daughter of / Thomas DENTON of Hillesden in the /
County of Bucks [...] deceased /
July 17th 1676 in ye 30th year of his /age.
