Inside St Mary's Church, Long Crendon
The north transept houses the organ and vestry, the south seems to be a junk room screened off with a bulky 17th century screen with curtains. This is a great pity as here is the most impressive Dormer monument with original railings and two recumbent effigies, she in front and a little below him (Sir John Dormer d.1626). The font tucked in the SW corner was once very fine, with four corner lions around the base and angels supporting the rim. The chancel east window has some excellent 19th century glass.
