St Frideswide's Church, Frilsham

Frilsham, St Frideswide's Church

I approached from Bucklebury (visited in April 2006) and had to slam the brakes on hard as the first road went across a ford, and the sign indicated the water was two feet deep!!

The church is largely Norman but many features are either very plain or very restored. There is a mean west tower is of 1835, but the best feature was the Norman north doorway. I walked around the church in the rain where the grass was a good 50cm high in places and my shoes and trousers were soaked! The things we churchcrawlers do eh?
