Hampstead Norris, Inside St Mary's Church


Another large but aisleless church, and the best roof yet today (dating from 1635). Behind glass in the nave is an ancient high quality sculpture of a knight on horseback (Pevsner says 13th century). Two fonts, the main one bulky Victorian, the other inscribed with the date 1768 is far more charming.
