Town Hall from Anchor Street, Bakewell

Bakewell, Town Hall from Anchor Street

This is one side of the building housing the Town Hall; other entrances being on Bath Street which can be seen turning off to the left behind the building. Anchor Street is part of the one-way system carrying the main A619 route out of Bakewell towards Baslow and Sheffield. Andrew has captured this shot at an uncharacteristically quiet moment (well, ok, on an Sunday, in fact!)

The building was home to Lady Manners School between 1896 and 1936.
