Edensor, Weir on River Derwent


This is just downstream from the Corn Mill designed by James Paine, built in 1761. The Mill remained in use until about 1950 but is now in ruins as a result of two beech trees falling on it during a storm in 1962 - q.v. Bygone Industries of The Peak: Corn Milling.
