The Road to Eyam, Foolow

Foolow, The Road to Eyam

Looking down the road from Foolow eastwards towards Eyam, the old farmhouse in the centre of this photograph is Waterfall Farm; beyond it is 'Black Hole' Mine, with Crosslow House over the brow of the road just out of sight.

On the left is the Bretton hillside. I was trying to photograph the yellow gorse, as its bright yellow was so spectacular, but unfortunately, it doesn't show up too well on this photograph.

This high point has the obligatory radio mast - a long-time feature of the skyline.
