Pictures of the Past : Near Froggatt Edge, Froggatt

This view is taken from below Malthouse Lane which is bounded by the wall running across the card. This lane now has houses on both sides. The single storey dwelling to the right of centre was not a stone structure and was lived in by Billy Slack. There is now a house there and 'The Green' runs past it on the right hand side up to the house you can see in the centre. The house on the left is Malthouse Cottage. The place where the photograph was taken from is on or near Hollowgate where Derwent Farmhouse is. There are houses in this field now.
