Old Postcard of Fall Cliff (Hathersage Road), Grindleford

Grindleford, Fall Cliff (Hathersage Road)

The road past this house, from in a southerly direction from Hathersage can be seen snaking along the hillside towards Grindleford and out of the photograph. ‘Fall Cliff’ is part way between Hathersage and Grindleford beside today's B6001 road, but I'm not sure whether this cottage is there any more today. At any rate there are a lot more trees there now!

(Commentary provided by Rosemary Lockie)

This is one of several old photographs acquired after a sort-out at the Peak National Park Authority's Study Centre.
