Another view of Stoney Middleton Dale, and the Lovers Leap Inn. Notice the advertising hoarding on the building opposite the Inn, and the 3 ‘horseless’ carriages parked outside - was there a parking problem back then too, with cab drivers fighting for space?

Meanwhile in the background, the ubiquitous smoke from the nearby limekilns fills the hollows in the sides of the gorge.
