Note: Stewart's interest is the LANEs is via
his grandmother Catherine Rosa LANE b. 1902, and he has researched the
family back to 1789. Sarah Ann HENLEY, the lady who threw herself off the
Clifton Suspension Bridge (in Bristol) in 1885 married into this family.
She survived the 250 foot fall to live for another 60 years, during which she
met and married Edward LANE.

Note: The stones are sited on the left side of the churchyard, and
completely covered by trees, with the inscriptions only to be seen by parting the trees.
The resulting protection has however kept the stone is in excellent condition.
