Although he is pretty scathing about the Victorian restoration of the inside of the church, Pevsner is prepared to admit (seemingly rather grudgingly!) that this doorway is original Late Norman. Also original Norman is the rightmost window in this south wall. Notice that above the doorway is a motif in the stonework, possibly mirroring the circular Rose Window, in the east wall. The Lady Chapel west window is also the same design.
