Inside All Saints Church, Brockhampton (Ross)
The most amazing thing for me inside this church was the embroidery. Each of the pews has a sitting which is hand embroidered. Similar motifs, of local flowers and herbs, can be found on an Altar Cloth and on 72 Hymn Book covers. There is a glass case at the rear of the church featuring another sample of similar embroidery. All these pieces were simply left one day on the altar, gifts from an anonymous donor. (Commentary provided by Rosemary Lockie) |
