Chipping Barnet, St John's Church (Ravenscroft Tomb)


Some stone fragements of the old church are built into the new tower and in the south chapel is this splendid canopied tomb chest and effigy to Thomas Ravenscroft d.1630, the figure carved from a single block of pink alabaster, and with elaborate vaulting to the canopy.
