Leighton Bromswold, St Mary's Church


St Mary's church is one of the most important churches in Huntingdonshire (although now Cambridgeshire of course) and is nationally important for its 17th century refitting and restoration from a ruin. The tower dates from this time and is clumpy classical in shape struggling to still appear Gothic in detailing and failing! It works better from a distance (that A14 road again for instance!).
