St Stephen's Church, Clanfield

Clanfield, St Stephen's Church


This rather ornate gate is partway up the approach to the church. The tower of St Stephen is medieval; nave and aisle a result of 19th century rebuilding (1868). The south porch shelters a recut (to the point of disinterest) Norman doorway. High on the tower is an odd and large statue of St Stephen.
