Pentre Ifan, Nevern

Nevern, Pentre Ifan

Pentre Ifan is believed to have been originally an ancient burial chamber; the tumulus (earth mound) which is believed to have surrounded it has (obviously) now disappeared.

It's just as well the “cap” stone is perfectly balanced. It would have given the guy laid to rest underneath it a nasty headache if it had dropped on him! :^)
