St Martin's Church, Exning
On my first visit in June 2004, St Martin's Church was locked, no notice-board, some small services notices on the porch door but no phone number, just the name of the vicar, and a notice applying for planning permission for a new notice board!! I walked around the village looking for the rectory, found the Old Rectory but no current one. A year later, the end of July 2005 saw me back in Suffolk, and I tried again. I found the notice board was now erected and has the phone number of the vicar on it, who kindly showed me around inside! (Commentary provided by Phil Draper) |
