St Martin's Church (Simpson Pew), Exning
An interesting comment on how a society carves the icons of its age into its church fittings, intentionally, or otherwise! Simon Knott's page for St Martin, Exning, Newmarket (part of his Suffolk Churches website) shows this same benchend figurehead (IMHO) looking more like Homer than Marge...
