Inside St Peter's Church, Holton

Holton, Inside St Peter's Church

The church itself was heavily gone over by the Victorians who added an aisle and north chapel to the exisiting church. The overall feel is Victorian but quite a handsome building nevertheless. The 15th century font and 16th century pulpit survive inside, and the south porch shelters a 12th century doorway above which is a panel depicting a winged animal, possibly a dragon.
