St Peter's Church, Thorington

This Norman tower sets the scene for some ‘show’ Victorian Norman in the tower arch and west window, which are truly awful. This is a shame as the tower is handsome, with a band of blank windows or arches around the middle of the tower and a brick, and a 16th century stepped-embattled parapet.

Two many trees mean you can easily miss the church and once found you cannot take a good picture!
