St Andrew's Church, Westhall

Of all the churches I saw on my weekend in Suffolk, I think I have decided St Andrew's at Westhall is (for the time being!) my favourite. It also has what must be the county's finest remaining Norman work outside of Bury St Edmunds.

The tower seems oddly placed at the west end of the south aisle but in fact it was built immediately onto the former west end of the Norman church. The Original West Doorway was however retained and can still be seen from inside the tower.
