St Mary the Virgin's Church, Norton Sub Hamdon

Norton Sub Hamdon, St Mary the Virgin's Church

This is unusual among English churches, a building completed in one go, and without any later embellishments of particular note structurally. It is an astonishingly handsome building, especially from outside, made all the better by the honey-coloured Ham Hill Stone. It is all Perpendicular style and of circa 1500, tower, nave and aisles and chancel of near full-height.
