Inside St Michael's Church, Betchworth
The South transeptal tower was formerly a central tower dismantled and rebuilt. It has a narrow early Norman west arch and a wider 13th century east arch, once the crossing arches. Much of the north side was rebuilt in the 19th century. There is not a great deal else to pass comment on, except for the Font and the Pulpit. A photograph of the exterior of St Michael's Church (with further commentary) is also available. (Commentary provided by Phil Draper) |
