Dorking, Inside St Martin's Church (facing East)


Built to impress, and it does although the lasting feeling left with me was one of “not-quite”, not-quite right in Surrey, not-quite top-rate architecture inside although it takes a good picture, and detailing not-quite what I expected. As for anything preserved from the medieval and later churches on this site, if there was I didn't see it. No monuments, no fittings.
