St Mary the Virgin's Church, Calne
The original central Tower collapsed in 1638, and the present day north transpetal Tower is Gothic survival work of the mid 17th century, yet very impressive. Much of the south side of the church was rebuilt in the 19th century. (Commentary provided by Phil Draper) |
